i've been getting a lot of requests for red egg + ginger party invitations since posting the designs last year.

~~unfortunately, the vertical egg design is currently unavailable due to a mishap with some equipment. hopefully that issue will be rectified soon and i can start selling them again.~~ edit 08.28.08 :: this issue has been resolved; the egg design is available again. yay!

the plum blossom design is still available, and i'm hoping to make a more boyish version of this design soon.

one last thing, the red cardstock for this invitation is different now. it's a much deeper red with a finer shimmer to it. i personally love it and think it's a nicer paper than the one i used before. i hope you agree.

i had the pleasure of creating the paper goods for the wedding of C + J. i've known C since she was born so it was really quite special to be a part of her special day.

C wanted a classic but modern invitation, and i think she was happy with the results. i also created a monogram for them, which we used on most of the paper items.

oddly enough there aren't that many places selling invitations for red egg + ginger parties.

a red egg + ginger party is a traditional chinese tradition celebrated one month after a baby is born. you can read more about it here, here, and here.

at the request of a friend/client i made up some invitations for this very special event. they are now available for sale. [click on image for details]

taggy blankets

taggy blankets are fun, tactile, and colorful. babies are comforted by the soft fuzziness of the fabric and by rubbing the different textures of the tags. these handmade taggy blankets make fabulous baby shower gifts and "yay, you're finally born!" gifts.

size: ranges between 16"x16" and 18" x 18" (without tags)
fabrics: fleece, flannel & chenille
tags: grosgrain, satin-y, velvet-y, twill, etc. there are 9 or 10 tags down the center and 32 tags around the sides
washing: machine washable and dry-able. some of the tags are printed ribbon so they may fade over time but they get softer

introductory price until april 30, 2007: $16 + shipping (usps priority mail or regular first class mail). i will gift wrap upon request for $1 more.
